You can read the Bible here without an account. This policy describes the public Swipe the Bible website, not the mobile app shown in its previews.
Who is responsible?
WCGF SAS is the controller of personal data processed for this website. Contact support@wcgf.com or write to WCGF SAS, 250 rue Maryam Mirzakhani, 34967 Montpellier Cedex 2, France. Company details appear in our legal notice.
Visiting the website
When your browser requests a page or asset, the hosting infrastructure processes technical information such as your IP address, requested address, request time and browser information. This is necessary to deliver the site, diagnose faults and protect it against abuse. These activities rely on our legitimate interests in operating a reliable, secure website.
The website does not ask you to create a profile, publish a message or submit a prayer. It has no advertising pixels or client-side audience measurement scripts. We do not use browsing information to build a profile of your religious beliefs.
Reading and puzzles
The website does not save your reading history, highlights, prayer intentions or puzzle progress to a user account or a database. Puzzle state is held temporarily in the current page and is lost when that page is reloaded. Browsers may keep ordinary cached files or browsing history under your own settings.
Fonts, images and preview videos are served with the website. Selecting a sharing control copies a link; it does not automatically post it to a social network. See cookies and browser storage for more detail.
Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and handle the request, based on our legitimate interest in providing support or, where applicable, a legal obligation. Providing this information is voluntary, but we may be unable to respond without contact details.
Recipients and international processing
Access is limited to people handling website operations or your request and the service providers needed to deliver those services. Netlify hosts the site using international infrastructure, which may process technical data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Applicable transfer safeguards are described in Netlify’s Data Processing Agreement. You may contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.
How long information is kept
Temporary interface state lasts only for the current page. Technical records are retained according to the hosting service’s applicable retention settings and the time needed to investigate an incident or meet a legal requirement. We do not maintain a separate database of visitors’ reading activity.
Support correspondence is kept for the time needed to resolve and follow up your request. Where a legal obligation or dispute requires further retention, only the information needed for that purpose is retained. Contact us for the retention information applicable to a particular request.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to support@wcgf.com and identify the relevant request or visit without sending unnecessary identity documents. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity. Requests are normally answered within one month; any lawful extension will be explained.
You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL or your competent data protection authority.
Restricted administration
The separate /operation area is for authorised administrators only. Supabase processes administrator email addresses, authentication credentials, sessions and an activity log to secure access and manage content. The administration session is stored in the administrator’s browser session storage and is cleared on sign-out. Drafts, approved releases and moderation actions are stored in the administration database. This processing supports our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the service. Access is restricted to authorised staff and providers; records are kept for as long as needed for access management, editorial traceability, incident investigation and legal obligations. Supabase may process data internationally under its Data Processing Addendum. Public readers do not receive an administration session.
The mobile app
Previews show app features including public discussions, highlights and saved prayers. Those tools are not available on this website. App-specific information about device storage, community identity and data providers must be provided within the app before those features are used; this website policy does not replace it.
Updates
We will update this page when the website’s processing changes and provide additional information or choices where required.
